Free School Meals at Park Road
If your child is eligible for Free School Meals then they are entitled to a free hot meal each day and free milk
What's more, the Authority gives the school funding for each child who is on or who has ever been on Free School Meals in the last 6 years. This year we were awarded £69940 of additional funding, money which enabled us to pay for a School Nurse, to keep our Breakfast Club running, and to subsidise trips such as a trip to the pantomime, for example. Importantly it also allowed us to provide extra support and interventions and to purchase resources within school, to raise the attainment of our pupils and to enrich their learning journeys.

Alternatively you can download the below form, complete and return it to school. Either way, please be assured that your application will be completely confidential.

Could your child be eligible for Free School Meals?
Children and young people who live in Kirklees can apply for free school meals if they:
- attend full time at a local authority school or sixth form
- are under 19 years of age
and their parents or carers receive one or more of the following:
- Universal Credit (provided you have an annual net earned income of no more than £7,400, as assessed by earnings from up to three of your most recent assessment periods)
- Income support
- Income Based Job Seekers Allowance
- Income Related Employment and Support Allowance
- Child Tax Credit, but are not entitled to a Working Tax Credit and your annual income (as assessed by Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs) is less than £16,190
- Support under Part V1 of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999
- Guaranteed element of State Pension Credit
